Dealersoft is an Android app that allows employees of petrol pumps registered on the Dealersoft web portal to log in and manage their credit customers and sales. This Privacy Policy describes how Dealersoft (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the app and related services.

1. Information We Collect

Account & Employer Information

  • Employee identifiers (name, phone/email, employee ID), role/permissions, petrol pump affiliation, and login credentials (hashed).
  • Employer (petrol pump) details provided via the Dealersoft web portal admin.

Operational Data

  • Credit customer records (e.g., customer name, contact number, vehicle details, credit limits, outstanding balances).
  • Sales entries (e.g., product type, quantity, price, payment mode, invoice references).
  • Audit logs (timestamps of create/update/delete actions, user and device identifiers).

Device & App Diagnostics

  • Device model, OS version, app version, crash logs, and performance metrics.

Data You Provide

  • Any information you submit through in‑app forms, uploads, or support requests.

2. How We Use Information

  • Authenticate employees and enforce role‑based access.
  • Enable creation and management of sales records.
  • Sync data with the Dealersoft web portal for reporting and reconciliation.
  • Detect misuse, prevent fraud, and maintain service integrity.
  • Provide customer support, fix bugs, and improve features.
  • Comply with legal obligations and employer policies.

3. Sharing & Disclosure

  • Employer/Admins: Your employer (petrol pump entity) and its authorized administrators can access data generated by their employees, including sales and credit customer records.
  • Service Providers: With vendors who host, process, or support our services under confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal & Safety: When required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and property.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to continued protection of personal data.

We do not sell personal information.

4. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as your employer’s account is active or as needed to provide the services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Employers may set their own retention policies for operational records. Upon termination or request, data will be deleted or anonymized in accordance with our and the employer’s policies, subject to legal requirements and backup cycles.

5. Your Rights & Choices

  • Access, correction, deletion: Contact your employer’s admin or us to exercise rights available under your local laws.
  • Permissions: You can control app permissions (e.g., camera) via device settings; some features may require permissions to function.
  • Marketing: We do not send employee marketing messages via the app.
  • CCPA: We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as defined by CCPA/CPRA.

6. Children’s Privacy

The app is intended for use by authorized employees of registered petrol pumps and is not directed to children under 13 (or under the age defined by local law). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect cross‑border transfers.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy with a new “Last updated” date and, where required, provide additional notice.
